However, it seems things are only about to grow more controversial for WWE, with one of its employees recently anonymously complaining that the company was forcing them to work on the company’s recent TV tapings. Ric Flair and the Irish Lass Kicker had a legal dispute over the rights to the term ‘The Man.’ In 2018, Becky Lynch’s popularity in WWE skyrocketed, and she referred to herself as The Man. In September 2019, Ric Flair trademarked the term, and when Becky’s The Man merchandise started selling out, the 16-time world champion wanted his royalties. The dispute was eventually settled in May 2020. Becky Lynch and Ric Flair’s daughter Charlotte Flair were involved in a major controversy during a segment on WWE television....

Three of the matches took place inside the iconic Hell in a Cell. The first one was a Clash of Champions rematch between Roman Reigns and Jey Uso for the Universal Championship in an ‘I Quit’ match. Jey Uso once again was unsuccessful in dethroning his cousin. This match was followed by a returning Elias facing the man who he thinks is responsible for driving him over with a car, Jeff Hardy....

Although a couple of the matches could have been better, it might be possible they were eclipsed by the amazing spot-filled matches surrounded them. There were plenty of amazing moments from Hell In A Cell, but these are five of the biggest. Even though they might not all be “high spots”, each one of them is significant in telling the story as WWE continues after this amazing event. #5 The SmackDown Tag Team Title Match The New Day and The Usos have put each other through wars in the past couple of months....

But Foley was not in attendance on Raw this week just to discuss the brutal nature of the Hell in a Cell match and to revel in his glory days, but to reveal that he is going to be the special guest referee for the Universal Championship match between Braun Strowman and Roman Reigns. While the announcement was quite unexpected, WWE should have done a better job with the booking of this angle, as Mick Foley’s sudden involvement in this match feels like lazy writing, as there are so much better candidates to fill that role on the roster....

With a slew of injuries hampering storylines since the beginning of the year, recent reports of backstage conflict have also emerged. It’s now being reported by Wrestling Inc. that on this past Sunday, WWE held a call with the company’s in-ring talent regarding what it described as the “reinvention of the product.” In this call, the WWE described that it not only owned the wrestler’s ring names, but also their real names. As such, WWE is telling talent that engagement with “outside third parties” must end by October 2. Those who violate this policy risk fines, suspension, or outright termination by WWE....

Last year’s Clash at the Castle was one of the company’s most successful and memorable events. In case you didn’t know… The WWE Universe will witness the 6th annual Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal at WrestleMania 35. Until last night, Braun Strowman was scheduled to compete in the battle royal, along with Colin Jost and Michael Che of SNL fame. The annual battle royal sees Superstars from Monday Night Raw, SmackDown Live, and NXT battle it out in the middle of the ring, with the winner bagging the coveted Andre The Giant trophy....

O’Neil, whose entrance in the 50-Man Royal Rumble Match has now become the subject of several internet memes, unintentionally surprised the entire professional wrestling community by sliding down the ring. In case you didn’t know… O’Neil is a former pro-football player who has performed for the WWE since 2009. He is regarded as one of the veterans in the WWE locker room today, however, is well-known for having had a few notable botches in the past—including the time he threw up during a SmackDown episode....

In case you didn’t know… Bayley is a former WWE Raw Women’s Champion and a former NXT Women’s Champion, who made her WWE debut in 2013 for the company’s developmental brand of NXT.
