Sportskeeda’s Tom Colohue revealed various details about Drew Gulak’s status on the latest edition of the Dropkick DiSKussions podcast. Tom Colohue told host Korey Gunz that Gulak wasn’t happy with his previous role in 205 Live when he was booked as Enzo Amore’s sidekick. Gulak was sent to NXT and his work under the Black and Gold banner impressed many people. The Superstar was then rewarded with a push on 205 Live before being sent to SmackDown....
Lashley vs. Lesnar, a dream match that has been in the making for years, happened at this year’s Royal Rumble show, where the former won the WWE Championship from the Beast Incarnate. The two were to lock horns inside the Elimination Chamber once again, but Lashley had to be pulled out of the match after suffering an injury. A few weeks ago on Dynamite, MJF addressed his absence at a meet-and-greet before Double or Nothing. The Salt of the Earth took shots at Tony Khan and demanded to be fired from the company. He also claimed that ex-WWE stars were paid more than him. On the Hall of Fame podcast, one fan opined that Tony Khan should put the world title on Maxwell, comparing it to The Rock winning the WWF Title and joining heel stable, The Corporation, in the Attitude Era....
Foley left WWE for the second time in 2008 when he was a commentator on SmackDown. The hardcore legend immediately joined TNA and went on to have a three-year run with the company before returning to Vince McMahon’s company once again. In an episode of his Foley is Pod podcast, the Hall of Famer detailed his difficult conversation with McMahon regarding his future in the company back in 2008. Foley did not enjoy being a commentator as he did not like how McMahon spoke to him while commentating....
In 2002, Jeff Hardy found success on RAW after the WWE Chairman pushed him as a babyface singles competitor. At the same time, Matt Hardy’s appearances became limited as McMahon thought fans may get confused if the company simultaneously pushed two singles stars called Hardy. The fact that the Wild Card rule is set to conclude means that there is a lot to look forward to. Brand exclusivity will return again and hopefully, we get a repeat of 2016 where the brand split works wonders for the superstars.
