WWE has released this statement to Newsweek regarding audience members not wearing masks during the taping of the June 15 episode of Monday Night RAW: “Fans have not been in attendance at WWE events since March 13. Yesterday, a select number of friends and family were permitted to attend WWE’s TV production. These individuals were required to participate in medical screenings prior to entering the closed set at our training facility, and were kept apart from in-ring performers and production personnel....

Bray Wyatt and Roman Reigns, who stood out with their performances at the Royal Rumble will be locking horns in an exciting confrontation with Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose, Erick Rowan and Luke Harper complementing. Kairi picked up the victory but the lights went out as she was celebrating her victory. Mercedes made her debut to a massive reaction from the crowd at the Tokyo Dome. She was referred to as “The CEO” by the ring announcer during her entrance. Moné attacked Kairi and slammed her to the canvas....

WWE held its second back-to-back live event in the State Farm Arena in Hidalgo, Texas. Here is the report for Sunday’s event. Opening the show for the second night in a row was Tons of Funk, Brodus Clay and Sweet T. After a couple of minutes of dancing to “Somebody Call My Momma,” two-thirds of the 3MB, Drew McIntyre and Jinder Mahal make their way to the ring. The match consisted of the two behemoths manhandling the foreigners....

The show was very good with the arena being about half full. The start time was 7:30 and in the 30 minutes beforehand they were showing various videos branded RAW 20th Anniversary and finally a WM29 recap. Last week, Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff were appointed to new positions in the WWE. Heyman is now Executive Director of Monday Night RAW and Bischoff is Executive Director of SmackDown Live. It’s unclear when Heyman and Bischoff will be set in their new roles but fans of the WWE should tune in to tonight’s episode to see if there’s any noticeable changes in creative. As the WWE continues its build to Extreme Rules on July 14, many superstars (like AJ Styles) are positioning themselves for title shots....

The two tagged with Roman Reigns on the first night of the Superstar Shake Up in Raw’s main event. The following week, Styles won a pair of matches in order for the right to challenge Rollins at Money in the Bank for the Universal Championship. It was a dream match that the fans have always wanted to see ever since Styles joined the WWE in 2016. Things came to a head at the contract signing as Styles put Rollins through a table to end the proceedings....

Apparently, Bliss also took the opportunity to jokingly call out a school teacher of hers, who scoffed at the prospect of Bliss becoming a Barbie doll. In case you didn’t know… Big Cass was released last year due to several ongoing incidents that attracted heat in the locker room. One of those incidents involved an angle on May 1st as part of his feud with Daniel Bryan. To mock Daniel Bryan, Big Cass brought out a little person dressed as him. Big Cass delivered a big boot and proceeded to beat down the little person. While the big boot was in the script, beating him down after that was not....

Corey Graves has stepped down from his duties at NXT commentator after last night’s big show in San Antonio as was announced on the NXT Takeover kickoff show. Veteran wrestler and former Ring of Honor announcer Nigel McGuiness, who was praised for his work alongside Michael Cole, will be replacing Graves. In case you didn’t know… In 2000, Corey Graves made his professional wrestling debut, working the United States and United Kingdom independent scenes....

As a firm fixture of the mid-card, the SmackDown tag team championships are integral to the success of Backlash. In the title bout, we will see the defending champions the Usos take on the challengers Breezango. The odds suggest that the Usos are clear 4/6 favourites, with not many giving Breezango any chance.
