Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks stole the show with an excellent Hell in a Cell match that saw Lynch outlast Banks in a violent war to retain the “RAW” women’s championship. That was the start of the show and probably should have been the finish to send the fans home happy. Instead, HIAC was capped off by a strange and spooky encounter between Seth Rollins and “The Fiend” Bray Wyatt for the Universal championship....

WWE has presented Theory as McMahon’s protege over the last few months. As a result, the young talent has received quite a few significant opportunities, including a match at WrestleMania 38 against former NFL punter Pat McAfee. Speaking on this week’s RAW Talk, Jerry Lawler — as part of the storyline — highlighted locker room jealousy due to the WWE Chairman’s favoritism towards Theory: Not only did Theory receive a match at WrestleMania, but he also got involved in a newsworthy segment with Stone Cold Steve Austin....

Only the Universal Championship was put on the line where ‘The Fiend’ Bray Wyatt defended his title against Daniel Bryan and The Miz in a triple threat steel cage match and Roman Reigns battled King Corbin in a street fight match at the main event. A Fatal Five-Way match will take place tonight pitting five of WWE’s top contenders against each other to be the next number one contender for Seth Rollins’ Universal Championship. Robert Roode, Ricochet, Rey Mysterio, AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura will all go at it to earn the opportunity to face Rollins on next week’s Monday Night RAW, which is also the season finale of the show. The Fiend and Seth Rollins are scheduled to tango at the Hell in a Cell pay-per-view on October 6 but with his title on the line a week before, the match may not have the same stakes....

Big Show posted an image on his social media account that indicated that he was back in the gym only three weeks after he underwent surgery. He was flooded with messages commending his perseverance, shortly after the upload. On that note, Roode expounded that it’s great to see NXT featured in it; given how close the brand is to his heart; besides talking about buying his kids the new 2K18 game. The 40-year-old is a former TNA World Heavyweight titlist and ex-NXT Champion....

In case you didn’t know… Since returning to television after WrestleMania 35, Bray Wyatt has been one of the most talked-about people in WWE. On-screen, the former Wyatt Family leader now appears to have a split personality, which enables him to speak coherently as himself from the comfort of his ‘Firefly Fun House’, whilst also being able to carry out villainous attacks inside a WWE ring as his alter-ego, “The Fiend”....

As Matt seems to have taken the role of a producer backstage, it was heavily rumored that Bray Wyatt will be in line for a singles push soon. The Eater of Worlds took to Twitter to post a cryptic message lately. In case you didn’t know… Bray Wyatt had joined forces with former arch nemesis Matt Hardy when he helped Hardy win the Andre The Giant Battle Royal at the Wrestlemania 34 pre-show....

In case you didn’t know… The WWE Championship has failed to main event any of the four main pay-per-views over the past year and it’s unlikely that it will be given the green light at Survivor Series. Styles was only able to main event SmackDown branded pay-per-views and ever since WWE announced that the brand split was no longer relevant on pay-per-views back in August, he has been unable to main event any WWE pay-per-views....

If you’re unaware, Velasquez is the man who beat (and pummeled) Brock Lesnar in lopsided fashion to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion. In a throwback to their fight, Velasquez took Lesnar down with the double-leg and hit him with the ground-and-pound. Lesnar fled the ring and didn’t enter, looking like he had seen a ghost. We are clearly headed in a Lesnar vs Velasquez direction and in an interview with Special Contributor Renee Young, Velasquez revealed his motive, plain and simple....

Now, Flair has finally broken her silence on the developing situation as she commented on her alleged relationship with the SmackDown Live Superstar on Twitter. He teamed with Bubba for the majority of the run but also performed as a singles star, winning TNA’s short-lived Television Championship. Xavier Woods wrestled for TNA from 2007 until 2010. He wrestled as ‘Consequences Creed’, a character inspired by the Rocky movie series character Apollo Creed. He mostly wrestled in the X Division and briefly held the TNA Tag Team Championship with Jay Lethal....

However, we rarely see WWE rivalries that unfold over a decade. Visiting the old chapters and unfolding a rivalry that was scripted in a fading ink brought Randy Orton face to face with WWE Champion, Kofi Kingston. It was revealed that Kofi Kingston was set for a push ten years ago. However, a botched spot in his match against Randy Orton at Madison Square Garden in 2009 irked The Viper....

But, despite these lacklustre finishes, the in-ring action was splendid, as the Cruiserweights, Cesaro and Sheamus, Owens and Rollins, and the women all delivered inside the squared circle. A good show that could have been great had it consisted of definitive results, let’s Analyse and Grade Each Match from WWE Clash of Champions. Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson vs The New Day (C) (Raw Tag Team Championships) Grade: 6/10...
