Before both wrestlers pull double-duty on Sunday, Roman Reigns and King Corbin will go at it in a six-man tag match. Reigns and his cousins, The Usos will take on Corbin, Robert Roode and Dolph Ziggler.

Roman Reigns defeated Robert Roode last week to pick the Falls Count Anywhere stipulation for his singles match against Corbin. King Corbin will look to this match to make it very hard for Roman to not only compete in their match on Sunday, but the men’s Royal Rumble. Can Roman overcome the odds and defeat his SmackDown nemesis?

“The Fiend” and Daniel Bryan will come face-to-face tonight for the official contract signing of their Universal Championship match. Both competitors have come to blows in past weeks with Bryan trying to figure out Bray Wyatt’s weakness, but what will happen just a few days before they clash?

Lacey Evans has a SmackDown Women’s Championship opportunity against Bayley this Sunday, but with the champ and her best friend Sasha Banks looking to put a stop to Lacey’s momentum, what will happen tonight?

WWE SMACKDOWN RESULTS

Roman Reigns and The Usos vs King Corbin, Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode

Jimmy Uso slips off the apron and tweaks his knee. Ziggler hits the Zig Zag on the steel steps, which causes security to come and take Jimmy away. This match becomes a handicap match. Towards the end of the match, Jimmy returns from the back. King Corbin and Roman Reigns begin to brawl into the stands leaving The Usos, Ziggler and Roode alone in the ring. Jey Uso pins Roode after a top rope splash.

Lacey Evans Interview

Michael Cole interviews Lacey at the top of the ramp. She’s asked about her upbringing. An emotional Evans says that she grew up with a father who had a problem with addiction and depression. She says that she wants to use this platform with the WWE to show the world. She says that she will be a leader that will inspire others. Lacey is shown the clip of her daughter yelling at Sasha Banks last month. Lacey says she’s proud of her daughter for standing up to the bully when Bayley attacks her from behind.

Backstage

Carmella and Dana Brooke declare for the Royal Rumble. Carmella brings up her accomplishments and says she can win this year. Brooke says that at the Royal Rumble anyone can win. The interview is interrupted by a fight between Lacey and Bayley. Evans gets the better of Bayley before she is pulled away by Carmella and Dana Brooke.

Alexa Bliss and Nikki Cross vs Fire and Desire

Earlier in the day, Sonya approaches Mandy and says that what happened last week with Otis it’s water under the bridgeThe match ends in a no contest after Lacey Evans chases Bayley into the ring and everyone begins to fight

Backstage

Elias is strumming when Braun Strowman approaches him and asks him if he’s ready.

Braun Strowman and Elias vs Shinsuke Nakamura and Cesaro (with Sami Zayn)

Before the match, Elias sings a new song and introduces Braun to the ring. Elias asks Braun that although they will be up against each other at the Rumble on Sunday, he wants to sing a duet with Strowman. Strowman is about to sing when he’s interrupted by Cesaro and Nakamura’s themeElias pins Cesaro after a top rope elbow

New Day Segment

Big E is oiling himself up to prove that it’ll be hard to eliminate him from the Rumble. Big E tells Kofi Kingston after he handles his business with John Morrison tonight, they’re heading to Houston for the Royal Rumble. Kingston says they are going to win the rumble for Xavier Woods

King Corbin Interview

Corbin says that he’s going to beat Roman Reigns so bad that he won’t make the Royal Rumble match. He says he will win it and will go on to win the Universal Championship at WrestleMania

Sheamus Vignette

Sheamus talks about how he talked about making the SmackDown locker room tough again but Shorty G needs a lesson and he’ll give it to him on Sunday.

Kofi Kingston (with Big E) vs John Morrison (with The Miz)

Before the match, The Miz promotes the season 2 premiere of Miz and Mrs and announces that he and Morrison are going to be in the Rumble.

Universal Championship Contract Signing

Daniel Bryan is alone in the ring and wonders where Wyatt is. Firefly Fun House plays and Bray is seen trying to fax the contract to Bryan but it’s not working. Wyatt says that he’s not the one signing the contract. The Fiend appears and takes out Bryan before signing the contract
