The first was John Morrison who made a quick cameo to console his friend, The Miz, after his loss to Kofi Kingston. Tonight, Morrison will be a special guest on Miz TV. Since his loss to Bray Wyatt at TLC, The Miz has been more heelish of late, and we may see more of that tonight. With Miz beating down Kofi after their match last week, a bout between Miz and Morrison and The New Day seems inevitable.

Sheamus returned after weeks of vignettes. He looks like his 2011 self, and he took out his ire on Shorty G last week. The Celtic Warrior has boasted that the SmackDown locker room is weak and small, and it looks like he’s out to prove it. What’s next for the former champion? We’ll likely find out tonight.

The third and final return featured Jimmy and Jey Uso, the former tag team champions. After Roman was about to get the dog food shower treatment from King Corbin and Dolph Ziggler, his cousins appeared to make the save. Now, the Usos will take on Corbin and Ziggler in their first action since summer 2019.

Roman wasn’t alone in that match as he was teaming with Daniel Bryan. However, The Fiend would show up and take his Royal Rumble opponent out, leaving Reigns to fend for himself. With their Universal Championship bout just a few weeks away, what’s the next chapter between Wyatt and Bryan?

Finally, we have the long-awaited bout between Sasha Banks and Lacey Evans. “The Boss” has been a thorn in Lacey’s side for weeks, even showing up her daughter on SmackDown before the New Year. Evans wants to be the woman the fans can look up to, something Banks and SmackDown Women’s Champion, Bayley haven’t been. Can Lacey continue her ascent, or will Banks drop her down a peg?

Here’s a live run down of everything that happened on the January 10 episode of Friday Night SmackDown.
