Originally, the match was supposed to feature Charlotte Flair taking on Ronda Rousey for the Women’s Title. The rumors had started floating around the moment WrestleMania 34 was done and dusted with. Charlotte had broken Asuka’s 6-year streak at the event, while Rousey had made her thunderous WWE debut in a winning effort.
Becky Lynch was relegated to the pre-show in the first-ever WrestleMania Women’s Battle Royal, which was won by Naomi.
