Jericho stated that the original plans for WrestleMania’s 25th Anniversary involved a one-on-one match between him and Hollywood actor Mickey Rourke.

At WrestleMania’s 25th Anniversary, Jericho wrestled in a handicap match against three WWE legends: Jimmy Snuka, Roddy Piper, and Ricky Steamboat. Jericho won the match but ended up on the receiving end of a thunderous punch by Rourke.
The heart of the matter
Jericho said that an elated Rourke couldn’t contain his excitement and revealed in an interview that he was going to face the Canadian Superstar at Mania. This Irked Vince McMahon to no end and he scrapped the match altogether.

Jericho is all set to start afresh in AEW, as the promotion’s first show emanates from the MGM Grand on May 25th.
