The offer comes from the owner of the promotion, Daniel Hinkles, who claims that he wants the Straight Edge Superstar to take part in 5 Star Wrestling’s 128-man tournament that will start on June 10, 2017, in Liverpool, England.

Hinkles claims he has been trying to get in contact with Punk since 5 Star Wrestling’s first show, ReGenesis, in 2015. Hinkles said that he’s aware of Punk’s feelings towards professional wrestling and that he hopes the money being offered will help Punk consider returning to the ring.

Punk’s career as a professional wrestler came to an end in 2014 when he left the WWE citing creative differences and health issues. He would sign with the UFC in December of 2014 and would have his first fight two years later at UFC 203 against Mickey Gall.

Punk claimed that he would never return to the WWE, but he didn’t close the door on a return to professional wrestling outside of the WWE.

Punk is currently filming a reality TV show for MTV’s The Challenge: Champs vs. Pros where he and 9 other professional athletes will compete against 10 former MTV stars in a series of obstacle courses.

Despite not talking much about anyone in the WWE, Punk has openly kept in touch with some wrestlers outside of WWE like The Young Bucks and Ricochet. WWE may be out of the question, but an appearance in 5 Star Wrestling may be something he may consider.

If 5 Star Wrestling manages to get Punk on board, they’ll be the centre of all the buzz in the world of professional wrestling as the former WWE Champion would continue to make a name for himself outside of the WWE.
